Practical First Aid Training: Invaluable Preparation for Unpredictable Situations
Nowadays, companies often focus on training employees in business areas, quality, occupational health and safety, and other professional skills. But what about practical training in providing first aid to a colleague? This aspect is often overlooked, even though it can be crucial not only in the workplace but also in everyday life.
As part of the World Health Day celebrations, which falls on April 7th, we organized first aid training for our employees. This training, organized in collaboration with Skácelík Rescue, focused on practical skills that can be key in everyday life.
Although it is impossible to be fully prepared for crisis situations, practical first aid training is invaluable. At the beginning of the training, we learned how to effectively communicate with emergency services, which is essential for quick and effective assistance. We then focused on the principles of first aid, which are necessary for proper action in crisis situations, and discussed common mistakes to avoid.
The training also included practical demonstrations on how to recognize and respond to health issues such as seizures, choking, unconsciousness, heart attacks, and strokes. Participants had the opportunity to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
We believe that this practical training provided participants not only with knowledge but also with confidence and readiness to act effectively in potential crisis situations. The skills acquired can be truly invaluable when it comes to saving a human life.
