20th SVDS Assembly and SVDS Conference 2026

CRONIMET Ostrava and CRONIMET Metallplast once again took part in the conference of the Association of Buyers and Processors of Secondary Raw Materials (Svaz výkupců a zpracovatelů druhotných surovin, z. s.), which this year was held on 23 April 2026 at the K–Triumf Resort in Velichovky. Our motivation was not only to gain new expert knowledge, but also to maintain and develop long-term relationships with business partners and colleagues from the industry.

Partners prepared not only professional presentations for the participants, but also practical demonstrations of their products and technologies. On display, for example, were the Olnova 75 track-mounted shredder, the MODEL 5E stationary shredder, recycling superstructures with hydraulic arm and the ET 5000 recovery platform.

The programme also included lectures by the Steel Union and a very stimulating section devoted to environmental legislation, especially waste management. Ing. Bc. Jan Maršák, Ph.D. from the Ministry of the Environment focused in his presentation primarily on the topic of DIWASS (Digital Waste Shipment System), which is expected to come into force in May 2026 for wastes listed in the “yellow list” and from 2027 for wastes in the “green list”. Registration in the system is gradually starting, but available information and supporting materials are still very limited, which makes DIWASS one of the key and most discussed topics in our field at present.

The conference was not only about professional and legislative issues. As is tradition, it concluded with a social evening in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, which provided space for informal meetings, establishing new contacts and sharing experiences.
